Description

The model looks like its predecessor, sporting a 6.1-inch standard 60Hz OLED screen, aluminum edges, and a glass back. The battery life of 44 to 48hours between charges and the A15 chip utilized in the 13 Pro models from the previous year are carried over. The most significant modifications are obscured. In the past, the back glass panel was effectively attached to the frame, replacing it after it was broken, a laborious procedure that required the whole disassembling of the device from the front. With its redesigned mid-frame design, the iPhone 14 128GB can now be opened from both the front and the back.

The iPhone 14 128GB resembles the iPhone 13 almost exactly, except for new color options. The color option in the iPhone 14 includes Midnight, Purple, Starlight, Blue, and Red. The screen, stereo speaker grilles, Lightning port, and aluminum frame remain the same. It also has 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm dimensions, slightly thicker than the iPhone 13’s. The iPhone 14’s dust and water resistance are the same as the iPhone 13’s, and all materials, including the Ceramic Shield covering the display, are the same. It is protected by the Gorilla Glass at the front and at the back and weighs only 172 g making it easier to hold or play with. Other useful features accompanied include Apple Pay which supports Visa, and MasterCard and is AMEX certified.

The Super Retina XDR display on theiPhone 14 128GB has a resolution of 2532 x 1170 and 460 pixels per inch. In this somewhat dated design, the notch eliminated from the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max still exists. It includes an upgraded True Depth camera which is still 12MP but has a better light-gathering sensor and can autofocus, an IR sensor, a flood illuminator, and, most importantly, a speaker on the bottom of the phone. This display is vibrant up to 1,200 nits and produces vivid colors with a 60Hz refresh rate. It uses Scratch-resistant ceramic glass for protection.

For the software aspect, the manufacturer has included iOS 16. It’s a valuable upgrade that brings about some of the most significant platform changes in recent memory. There are only two rear cameras on the iPhone 14 128GB, including a primary 12MP sensor of 26mm and f/1.5 as its aperture. Other options include a 13mm, f/2.4, 12MP ultrawide camera with a 120- degree field view. It is wise to mention that these cameras have improved sensors and overall low-light performance. A new imaging pipeline is advantageous for all cameras. To work with uncompressed images, the Photonic Engine prioritizes Deep Fusion neural image processing earlier than in the past. The phone can also record videos in up to 4K resolution, and Cinematic Mode has been upgraded to accommodate 4K at 30 frames per second.
